Ibn Baz Permits Marriage With the Intention of Divorce and Denies It Is Deception

Ibn Baz was asked whether marriage with the intention of divorce is permissible. He replied: “It is permissible. This is the established ruling reported from the majority of scholars, although al-Awza'i held that it was prohibited.” He was then asked: “Isn't marriage with the intention of divorce deceiving the woman?” He answered: “No.”
(٥٣٠) سؤال: ما حكم النكاح بنية الطلاق؟
الجواب: جائز، حكاه الموفق عن الجمهور، وحكي عن الأوزاعي المنع.
(٥٣١) وسألته: أليس في النكاح بنية الطلاق غش للمرأة؟
الجواب: لا.
