Mawla Ali is the successor of prophet Mohammad

If They Had Followed Ali, They Would All Enter Paradise

Al-Sunnah v2 p797, h1217
Ibn Mas'ud said that the Prophet said: “On the Night of the Jinn, I was informed that my death was approaching.” Ibn Mas'ud said, “Abu Bakr al-Siddiq will lead the people,” but the Prophet remained silent. He then said, “Umar will lead the people,” and the Prophet remained silent. He then said, “Ali will lead the people.” The Prophet replied: “They will not do it; but if they did, they would all enter Paradise.”

Musnad Ahmad v4 p207, h4294
Abdullah ibn Mas'ud said: “I was with the Prophet on the night of the delegation of the jinn. When he returned, he sighed deeply. I asked, ‘What is the matter?’ He replied: ‘I have been informed of my approaching death, O Ibn Mas'ud.’”
كنت مع النبي ﷺ ليلة وفد الجن، فلما انصرف تنفس، فقلت: ما شأنك؟ فقال: «نعيت إلي نفسي يا ابن مسعود».
Authentication: The editor states: “Its chain is authentic” (إسناده صحيح). He notes that Ibn Hibban included Mina ibn Abi Mina among the trustworthy narrators

Al-Suyuti Supports the Report With Corroborating Evidence

Al-La'ali al-Masnu'ah v1 p298–299
Al-Suyuti records the narration in which the Prophet, after being informed of his approaching death, was asked about Abu Bakr, Umar, and then Ali as successors. Regarding Ali, the Prophet says: “By Him in whose hand is my soul, if they obey him, they will all enter Paradise.” After presenting the criticism of this report, al-Suyuti does not stop there; he brings another narration as supporting evidence and says: “This may be strengthened by the hadith of Ali.”

Mina Was a Narrator From the Early Generation

Al-Tarikh al-Kabir v4 p31
Al-Bukhari identifies Mina as the freedman of Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf. Mina reported that he learned Surah al-Baqarah and Al Imran from Abu Hurayra and that he was present around the time allegiance was given to Uthman.

Mina ibn Abi Mina — Authentication

Musnad Ahmad v12 p451, h7731
The editors state that they consider the stronger view to be that Mina ibn Abi Mina, the freedman of Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf, is trustworthy, referring back to their detailed discussion under hadith 4294.
ميناء بن أبي ميناء، مولى عبد الرحمن بن عوف، سبق أن رجحنا توثيقه: 4294
“Mina ibn Abi Mina, the freedman of Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf — we previously considered his authentication to be the stronger view: 4294.”

Ibn Hibban Included Mina Among the Trustworthy Narrators

Al-Thiqat v5 p455
Ibn Hibban includes Mina, the freedman of Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf, in his book of trustworthy narrators. He states that Mina narrated from Abu Hurayra, and that Abd al-Razzaq narrated from his father from Mina.
